The San Francisco World Spirits Competition (SFWSC), which began in 2000, is one of the most influential alcohol competitions in the world. The judging process involves blind tastings by a panel of judges consisting of bartenders, restaurant chefs, beverage buyers, and beverage journalists, among others, with awards being determined for each category.
The Double Gold award is given to products that receive perfect scores from all judges, while the gold award is given to products that receive high scores that are close to perfect.
