“Matsui Whisky Umeshu” won the top award at the world’s premier spirits competition held in the United States!

“Matsui Whisky Umeshu” from Matsui Shuzo An Unlimited Partnership (hereinafter referred to as Kurayoshi Distillery; located in Kurayoshi City, Tottori Prefecture) has been awarded the Chairman’s Trophy, the highest honor, at the ULTIMATE SPIRITS CHALLENGE 2023 (hereinafter referred to as USC), the world’s premier spirits competition held in the United States.

Not only “Matsui Whisky Umeshu” but also many other products, including Matsui Pure Malt Whisky “The Kurayoshi Sherry Cask,” have been selected as finalists in the competition

■About USC
The ULTIMATE SPIRITS CHALLENGE is one of the largest spirits competitions in the United States.
It is judged by buyers, bartenders, bar directors, and is trusted by producers, distributors, importers, dealers, and retailers, who not only evaluate the taste, but also the quality, price, and excellence of the product.
The rating range is from 80 to 100 points, separated by 5 points, and those with 85 points or higher will be listed on the website. In particular, a score of 95 or higher is considered to be the highest rating, and is said to be a special product that can be recommended for the ultimate.
