About the Products
Q3. Does whisky have an expiration date?
Whisky does not have an expiration date, and no such indication is required or displayed.
This is because whisky is a high proof distilled spirit, which allows it to maintain its quality over a long period of time.
After opening, whisky can still be enjoyed over time if stored in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight. However, please be aware that slight changes in aroma may occur. To fully appreciate its original flavor, we recommend consuming it within a reasonable period after opening.
Q4. What is the best way to store whisky?
The ideal storage location is a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight with minimal temperature fluctuations.
Additionally, keep it away from areas with strong smells and from hot, humid conditions.
The bottle should always be stored upright.
Q5. There seems to be a white sediment floating in whiskey, is it safe to drink?
The white sediment seen in unopened whisky is caused by the crystallization of natural components and some aromatic compounds in the whisky due to temperature changes. It is harmless and safe to drink.
Additionally, whisky may become cloudy in cold environments for similar reasons, but this also poses no harm to health.
Q6. Where are your products available for purchase?

Purchasing Our Products Outside Japan

Q7. The lid of the can is stuck. What do you recommend?
If the pull tab is out of place, you may be able to open the can by moving it back to the correct position and pulling it up.
If you repeatedly try to open the can forcibly, the pull tab may break and you might get hurt.
Should you have trouble opening it, please refrain from forcing it and please contact us through the inquiry form or email us at info@matsui-shuzo.co.jp.
Q8. Is it safe to drink from a can that is dented or deformed?
The can is made of very thin material, so the body or bottom may become dented or deformed due to drops or impacts.
If there is no liquid leakage from the can and the can is firm (maintaining its tight seal), it is safe to drink. However, if the can is significantly dented or leaking liquid, please refrain from opening it as a precaution.
please contact us through the inquiry form or email us at info@matsui-shuzo.co.jp.
Q9. The bottle lid is stuck. What do you recommend?
If you find it difficult to open the whiskey cap normally, the cap may be stuck due to the tightening force applied during factory production or storage conditions.
In that case, attempting to force the opening may cause injury, so please refrain from opening the can and please contact us through the inquiry form or email us at info@matsui-shuzo.co.jp.
Additionally, while using rubber gloves or wrapping a cloth around the cap and twisting may be considered temporary methods to open stubborn bottle caps, we recommend refraining from these practices as they may lead to injury.
